I love makeup! I love how it transforms and enhances my features (when done correctly). I always marveled at models, fellow bloggers and YouTubers on how they established beautiful and flawless make-up. They say that the best cosmetics are usually the luxury brands like Chanel. I have never tried on a luxurious make-up brand. To be honest, I mostly use Maybelline, Black Radiance, Cover Girl or MAC. That is the extent of the brands I have tried. I am an Eczema sufferer which means I need to be mindful of what I put on my skin.
A fellow blogger, a guru in all things beauty, fashion and style hosted a secret beauty event in the World Trade Center with get this…DIOR Cosmetics! Yes, D.I.O.R! I was elated to attend this event. I was originally waitlisted, but thanks to the beauty Gods above I was able to snag a ticket!
Dior Cosmetics Boutique
First of all the World Trade Center Oculus in Lower Manhattan, is absolutely breathtaking. The architecture alone is exquisite. The school of tourists and New Yorkers taking pictures made for a very interesting navigation process to the store. I somehow managed to make it to the Dior Cosmetics Boutique. I stood in the back since I arrived late (thanks MTA) and I was offered a Mimosa and there were trays of cupcakes, cookies and sweet treats to indulge. They demonstrated proper makeup application on a model and was giving us tips and tricks on how to achieve the same look . Super informative and of course the free product giveaways for correct answers to questions was a good thing too!
Make-over Please!
We were able to try the products free of charge with the assistance of Dior specialist. I roamed the store looking at foundations, blushes, eyeshadows, lipsticks, lip glosses, etc. Even though, I am a lover of makeup, I need additional education when it comes to the application process. Alex, who is a Dior makeup specialist answered all my questions and helped me apply a purple eyeshadow look that I was dying to try. He shaped my eyebrows, applied eye liner with a cat eye swoop and elongated and thickened my eye lashes! Applied a purple lip color with a touch of gloss and I was fully transformed. More importantly, I felt different, I felt transformed, I felt confident, I felt beautiful!

In addition to indulging in mimosas and chatting with other beauty attendees; I met the beauty guru herself; Danielle Gray. Danielle Gray is the editor of the well known blog Style and Beauty Doctor. You can find just about anything related to style, beauty and fashion on her blog. Her YouTube videos are informative and funny! LOL She has an amazing personality and she is just as radiant in person as she appears in her photos. Follow her on snap chat to witness her rants, tips and tricks! I look forward to her daily snaps and I was delighted to meet her. She approved my new look and after chatting a few minutes and exchanging hugs the event concluded. I couldn’t leave the venue without purchasing something. I acquired a Dior Addict Ultra Lip Gloss called Ever Dior!
A chocolate brown lip liner and a touch of this ultra luxurious gloss and I am set! I would encourage you; my lovely readers, to try new things! I challenge you to try on a new lip color, blush, or eyeshadow. Dabble in the art of contouring, highlighting or bronzing! Accentuate your favorite feature!
