Now, if you are a professional woman or better yet a woman in general; you would never leave the house without a satchel filled with small life saving items like a safety-pin to larger items like planners or iPad. One thing that we can not live without is the make-up bag. I am not a fan of having a ten pound make-up. I prefer to only have carry the essentials. Here are 10 Essentials that every woman should have in her make-up bag.
Tissues:
These small wonders of capable of many tasks from make-up mishaps to runny noses. Luckily they are available in convenient packs which are perfect to store in your make-up bag.
BB Cream/ Tinted moisturizer
I used BB Creams and Tinted moisturizer throughout the summer. This lightweight tinted formula is perfect for evening touch-ups or for solo use. Simply place a few dabs on your forehead, cheeks and chin. Blend with your fingers or sponge. Make sure that your BB cream is packed with SPF to protect your delicate skin from the sun and you’re good to go!
Oil Absorbing Sponge
I tend to have oily skin. Especially in the summer months. I always carry an oil absorbing facial sponge. It removes oil with a few swipes on the forehead, nose, cheeks and chin where oil seems most prominent.
Lip Gloss:
I never leave home without lip gloss. I prefer a shiny nude colored lip that enhances my natural lip color. One that is ultra moisturizer and lasts long enough through lunch, meetings and my evening commute.
Hand Sanitizer
Unfortunately germs are everywhere and the little devils always find themselves in places that we touch the most; such as doorknobs, telephone receivers and yep even people. I always have hand sanitizer in my bag. A quick squirt can keep you germ and illness free especially in the colder months!
Hand Cream
Winter can zap moisture on your skin especially when exposed to the cold. A heavy hand cream preferably made with Shea Butter keeps my skin soft and supple. Especially after constant hand washing.
Breath mints
I am amazed on how many women forget this essential. Fresh breath can make or break you. Pop a few breath mints in your make-up bag. It will give your confidence a boost when talking to that cute guy you are sitting next to you on the bus or more importantly; your boss.
Safety Pins
Keep a few safety pins in your make-up bag to replace a popped button on your blouse or other apparel mishaps.
Perfume
Some scents now come in a convenient roll on application. Pack a perfume roll-on or body spray. It will keep you smelling fresh and sweet. I personally enjoy peach or citrus scented body spray.
Compact Mirror
Comes in handy to check your make-up, fix any stray hairs and make sure that there aren’t any bats in the cave. (Uh, huh…you know what I mean!)
I hope this post is helpful. What items do you have in your make-up bag?
