Recently I shared that I have started my weight loss journey. You can read about it here. My journey is not just for weight loss, it’s for overall health improvement. Let me be clear, I am proud to be a curvy woman! BUT, my desire is to be a HEALTHY Curvy Woman. As I began my road to a healthier and curvier me… here are three things needed that will guarantee your health journey success.
Support
Support is so important to anyone who decides to embark on a health and fitness journey. You would be surprised on how many women and start and ultimately fail because the support was lacking. That is not going to happen to ME or YOU. I would encourage you to share your goals with your friends and family. Join a health support group, listen and participate in health and wellness chats (there are 100’s) and establish an accountability partner. It just so happens when I started my journey, my partner decided to start his. We both noticed we were getting a little too puffy around the midsection (LOL).
Schedule
Schedule is MAJOR. I can’t survive without my calendar. If it’s not on my calendar, it’s not getting done! Schedule your workouts and your health reminders. I recently sat down and looked at my calendar. It was filled with work obligations, personal obligations, bill scheduled to be paid, business obligations, BLOG obligations, etc. I was forgetting to take my vitamins, drink water…anything health journey related. Like everything else, I added it to my calendar. On a daily basis, my calendar gently reminds me to take my vitamins during breakfast, drink water three times a day and schedule my workouts. Its been extremely helpful.
Goals
I remember my mother telling me as a child, that no matter what you do in life you must have a goal. How do you know where you are going if you don’t know where you began? Think about it. What are you hoping to achieve? I establish goals every single week. It helps me hold my self accountable. For instance, my goal is to lose three pounds this week, swim at least two times a week and drink at least two quarts of water a day. See? Simple. I don’t know about you, but progress is STILL PROGRESS!

I agree my top is schedule. I believe if I don’t make it non- negotiable I don’t follow through and I’m back to square one.

I would suggest getting a motivational/ accountability partner. Works well for me! Good Luck! Let me know how it’s does! ?
