At the end of 2017, I started taking my beauty & skincare regimen more seriously. I have made changes in my diets such as increasing my water intake and incorporating fruits and vegetables. I am a frequent Sephora shopper! Many of my lunch hours are spent looking at the latest foundations, eyeshadow palettes, and skincare products. Securing the free samples, trying new products that I wouldn’t ordinarily try. Sephora is known to carry only the best products in beauty and skincare. Some products with a hefty price tag. I would love to spend copious amounts of cash purchasing the latest and greatest. However, I have to stay within a budget that I have set for myself. Like most conscientious shoppers, I would prefer to purchase items on sale. When the word “sale” was introduced via my Beauty Insider email notification I was elated!
Layers & Blazers with Charlotte Russe.
Has Spring finally…sprung? Hopefully, the warm weather is here to stay. However, I am still very hesitant to leave my home without a sweater of some sort to drape across my shoulders. The weather in New York is still cool as the temps still remain in the upper 50’s low 60’s. I am still dressing in layers during these temperatures. I love blazers and cardigans, especially for spring. The Notched Lapel Blazer is an absolutely perfect piece. I wore it one warm Sunday afternoon to meet up with one of my blogger friends. I paired it with a black tee shirt and Skinny Jeans from Torrid. To add a touch of glam, I wore my Rose Gold Michael Kors sneakers that I snagged at Marshalls.
Monday Musings: 3 of My Worst Habits to Eradicate in 2018!
Happy Monday my loves! It is a brand new day and a brand new week. I hope you enjoyed your weekend. My weekend was spent pretty much as usual, chores, writing relaxing and preparing myself mentally and physically for the week ahead. If you recall, one of my goals (awhile back) was to write various personal posts about me. Afterall, in order to truly get to know me; you would have to know ABOUT me. One thing that I had to learn is that I am not perfect. No matter what my friends may believe. I figured I would share with you some of my worst habits that I am actively trying to change.
Loft Plus Collection: 5 Chic Must Have Blazers for Spring
Yes, Spring has arrived and I am here for it! Unfortunately, in my wonderful state of New York the memo somehow got lost in transit. Nevertheless, I have already begun my Spring wish list. I am looking forward to finally putting on some bright colors and flouncy skirts. Gone are the days of rocking booty shorts and crop tops. Not a fan, and I prefer more age appropriate attire. Classic versatile pieces will be the only additions to my closet. I was absolutely thrilled when Loft launched their plus collection. They have the most beautiful skirts, tops and pants. You know I had to look at their jeans too. I love a good pair of jeans (more on that later).
Blog-Gress Goals! 5 Goals for the Month of April.
Happy Easter! Today is a little unorthodox being Easter and April Fools Day. Today I decided to forgo tradition and not attend church service and cook a huge an Easter feast. I needed to be still. It has been a long time since I have written a post. Work responsibilities, especially preparing for tax season has taken first priority. Curvy Intuition has always been my creative outlet. Writing is therapeutic and provides freedom. My life as a 30+ woman living, working and existing in New York is pretty structured. What I discovered during my hiatus is that I need to incorporate my therapy into my life. I need to create a work/ life balance which is something that is very difficult. Even more difficult to admit.
At the beginning of each month, my first post would normally be about goals. I want to continue this important tradition. This is my way of holding myself accountable. Some of the goals that I have set forth are attained; others are not and I accept that. However, it is important for me to know where I am going and monitor the progress of this blog. Bear with me. I have become so detached since the beginning of the year and have spent most of my day’s knee deep in tax returns and other financial obligations. I love my job and I love being an accountant, but just between us… One of my biggest dreams is to be self-employed. I have spent most of my life in a financial position furthering the goals and fattening the pockets of my employers. Only through focus, hard work, ambition, blood, sweat and ultimately tears can I finally make it a reality.
