Hello, Beauties! Its been a long road, but it is great to see that beauty brands are making major changes. They are finally adding new darker shades to their cosmetic lines. Being a woman with darker skin tone, I have been fortunate enough to find a few brands that have my shade readily available. However, I want to have more options. It becomes frustrating when you run out of foundation at the last moment, have to run to the store only to find that your shade is not available. Has that happened to you?
I was first introduced to Too Faced Cosmetics while in search for a new eyeshadow palette. Their eyeshadow palettes were absolutely beautiful. The shades were complimentary to my skin tone and to my surprise was Peach scented. I was hooked, however, I could not validate a $50 eyeshadow palette purchase. Their current foundation shades were too light for my skin tone. However, there’s new hope.
Rumor Has It Too Faced Cosmetics has partnered with vlogging diva Jackie Aina to introduce new darker shades to their foundation line called Born This Way. Aina, is a YouTube veteran with over 1,000,000+ devoted subscribers. Her beauty, infectious sense of humor, and quite extensive knowledge of beauty and skincare made her a perfect choice. I am an avid fan of Jackie Aina, who is also known as LeBronze James (cute) and her videos are uploaded on a weekly basis. Her videos showcase her absolute honest opinion on product reviews, celebrity attendance at events and my personal favorite makeup tutorials. Check out her videos here!
Congratulations to Jackie Aina on her new collaboration with Too Faced Cosmetics. I am truly looking forward to trying the new darker shades! Unfortunately, a launch date has not been revealed, but I will certainly be on the lookout.
