I’ve been keeping my ears to the ground, and it has paid off once again. Hello, My Lovelies! Happy October! If there is one thing I enjoy is new apparel collections. Especially those that that cater to us, curvy and bustier women. Well, I have a new Rumor Has It for you; and this one is featuring Tracee Ellis Ross. Ms. Ross needs no introduction as her name is widely know. I first encountered Ms. Ross when she starred as Joan in one of my favorite sitcom Girlfriends. Now, you can find her on the more modern and family-based sitcom called Blackish.
What is it about this collection that peaked my interest? First, is that her collection features classic pieces with a little flare and attitude. The pieces are not too revealing, versatile for a party and the even the workplace. Versatility is my middle name and I only purchase pieces that can be mixed and matched and can go from casual to workplace attire with a few simple key accessories. Second, the cost! Very reasonably priced; all pieces are no more than $75! Which means that you can be stylish, while still holding onto your coins.
This collection is due to launch November 12th at JCPenny and something tells me that it will sell out quickly. Thanks to my iPhone; I have already marked my calendar along with an alert the day before. I will be ready with credit card in hand. Luckily, I already know which pieces I will purchase first. Here are a few of my favorites:
Let’s talk about this red number. Did I mention my love of casual/ loungewear? This fire engine read pant and robe like a cardigan is perfect for casual Saturdays. Here in New York, the weather is still kind funny. The cardigan will keep you warm and comfortable during the day while running errands. Personally, I would pair the cardigan with a white tee shirt or turtleneck, skinny jeans, and leopard colored flats! Oh, and instead of my usual satchel, I would use a chic backpack. Cute, huh?
Now, this sparkly number will be my New Years Eve dress! Hands down. The sparkle, the color, and its sex appeal will be great to bring in 2018. I personally would want to accentuate my waist, adding a chic belt will round out the look. Shoes, multi-colored, fuschia featured pumps. Simple accessories as the dress is a statement piece alone. High bun, nude glossy lip, and simple diamond-like earrings.
This dress is bound to be one of my favorites for the season. I love the fact that is will gently hug my curves and the length is so chic. This dress is perfect for a lunch date but can also be worn to work. Add a bold colored blazer a belt and pumps and you are all set for a day at the office. Just prepare yourself for the compliments.
