Rumor Has It: St. Ive’s Mixing Bar in New York!

Have you ever imagined walking into a store and literally having your own lotion or face scrub made to order?  Rumor has it… you can!  Nestled in Soho New York; St Ive’s opened its first EVER Mixing Bar!  St. Ives is one of the leading known skincare brands.   You probably know them for their awesome scented body lotions, scrubs, and body washes.  I myself, have used St. Ives for years.  There Apricot Face Scrub is amazing!  Recently one of my blogger friends Audrey (Blogger Boo #1) received an invitation to visit the new St. Ives Mixing Bar in New York!  I was super excited when she asked me and Brianne (Blogger Boo #2) to come along.

 

 

I headed to the location right after work.  It was a long day and I was looking forward to unwinding.  The mixing bar is beautiful.  Upon entering, the wonderful sweet aromas engulfed my nostrils.  You could hear the light buzz of conversation as customers talked with St. Ive’s staff.  We were greeted warmly by the host and proceeded to explore the store.  There were displays of candles adorning the tables, even a face scrub sampling station (with sink) which I thought was truly unique.

 I was like a kid in a candy store, picking up each opened jar and candle smelling its essence.  There were so many sweet-smelling concoctions.  Decision making was agonizing!    I had a choice between lotion or facial scrub.  Naturally, I chose the face scrub.

Cucumber and Kale Scented Face Scrub

I chose a facial scrub with volcanic sand.  It provides moderate exfoliation and would be gentle enough for my sensitive skin.   The Cucumber and Kale scent was really appealing.  It had a light and fresh scent which is perfect for summer.   I met with my personal St. Ive’s mixologist Sydney.  Sydney was super cool.  She was knowledgeable and very friendly.  My personal scrub came out picture perfect and I couldn’t wait to use it.

My experience at the St. Ive’s Mixing Bar was epic.  I got to spend time with blogger buddies and obtain a new skincare essential.  Rumor has it that this location will only be available for the summer.  Treat yourself to skin nourishing lotion or exfoliant scrub.  What are you waiting for?
